In the spirit of the season, we are joining in the Zoom Room to discuss Miracles and WooWoo –  Meaning experiences and events that cannot be understood by ordinary thinking or explained by science.

In thinking about how you will contribute to this conversation, please consider the following definitions:

Miracle – “ An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.” From the American Heritage Dictionary.

WooWoo – “Unconventional beliefs regarded as having little or no scientific basis, especially those relating to spirituality, mysticism, or alternative medicine.” From the Oxford Lexico https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/woo-woo

Here are a few statements to ponder before Friday. 

1. An experience that happened to you or that you witnessed. (ie. Making an appointment on time, using public transportation, when you left a half hour late.)
2. Something that reminds you that miracles happen all the time. (i.e. A beautiful sunrise, Beethoven’s ability to compose music while deaf.)
3. A serendipity (i.e. Thinking of someone you knew many years ago, and receiving a telephone call from them.)
