Rev. Jacquie Fernandez graduated Unity Institute with a Masters of Divinity and was ordained as a Unity minister in 2015. Her ministerial passion focuses on inspiring individuals to discover and unleash their creative power, live authentically in that power, and create spiritual practices that support conscious living. Through her work as Media Production Coordinator for Unity Worldwide Ministries, she leads the media team in producing spiritually provocative digital media to engage people with Unity teachings and provide Unity leaders with resources and training for Unity using digital media in their ministries. You can view this work at UnityWorldwide.media. She has served as Minister of Communications at Unity Village Chapel, minister of Unity Spiritual Center in Springfield, MO and as Creative Director and prayer chaplain at Unity of Kansas City North.
Rev. Jacquie is a dynamic speaker who brings her passion for asking the hard questions of self (and others!), lifting relevant concepts from ancient scriptures, and challenging listeners to live consciously as unique, unrepeatable expressions of the Divine. She is inspirational and motivational and easily connects with listeners from all walks of life. Her workshops are experiential, as are many of the services she designs as she believes this helps people to connect more deeply to their own healing. Since graduating in June 2015, she has been the guest speaker at several Unity churches, keynote at Tulsa Unity/CSL Women’s Retreat, and Northern Ohio Unity retreat which featured an alternative experience service she designed as a student: “Church Deconstructed/Reconstructed.” Church De/Re is her self-proclaimed “thesis” as it is a culmination of what Jacquie believes about spiritual community, healing the past, reclaiming what it means to “do church” for a future built on harmony, acceptance, and inclusion. The service includes spoken word, poetry, drumming, dancing, and anointing. We are excited to have her with us at Unity of New York!
