Critical Conversations Skills Workshop
with Rev. Dr. Martha Creek
Sunday August 9 from 1 – 2:30 pm, on Zoom
How do you react when you hear the words, “Can we talk?” or “I need to talk to you about something.” What are the consequences of that reaction? Crucial conversations often come up when we are unprepared, and we are often taken aback. They trigger the same primitive part of our brain that was reserved for dealing with survival. There are three ways of dealing with important conversations:
- Respond to it in a well-equipped manner.
- Take it head-on and fail.
- Avoid it altogether and create more intensity.
Which one of the ways is your pattern?
From Martha: “Personally, I’m an avoider. I continue to work at changing that, and so far, with the help of these critical conversations skills, I’m doing quite well!”
This is a vital time to develop our capacities for difficult topics. In this fantastic workshop, you will equip yourself with skills you need to have meaningful and effective crucial conversations, in any situation.
