REV. BRITT HALL

Senior Minister

Unity of New York’s co-founder and Senior Minister, Rev. Britt Hall’s work has received praise from around the globe. He is revered as a leader in the New Thought community and has shared his voice and insights around the country as speaker, vocalist and musician. He is not only an original member of our nationally recognized, dynamic vocal ensemble Spiritus, he is the director. Britt is also the creator/director of VOICES IN UNITY, the powerful Unity New York choir. He has produced and directed a multitude of concerts and events at Unity of New York and beyond. Britt was also a member of the creative team of the inspirational book and recording, “Badge of Courage,” written by Barbara Raven, read by Oscar-winning actress Patricia Neal, music by David Friedman, sung by Spiritus.

Actor, model, athlete, fitness trainer, teacher, banker…after playing many roles on life’s exciting journey, it was when Britt found Unity that he came full circle to the passionate thread of his life…music! It’s been his second language since childhood. Though established as a musician, Britt’s career as an actor/singer didn’t begin until after attending college, first at Troy University in Troy, Alabama, where he played trumpet and tenor saxophone, followed by University of Florida in his home state, where his music focus was alto sax.

Britt has called New York City home since 1989 and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. As an actor, he has performed from the stages of New York to national tours and theatres around the country. His work has included film, television, cabaret, concerts and recordings. As a commercial print model, Britt’s likeness has appeared in places from magazines to phone bills, banks to airplanes, buses to billboards.

Britt is an ordained Unity Minister and ordained Interfaith Minister.  He is the recipient of the 2010 Light of God award for his tireless, selfless work at Unity of New York. He is also an established wedding officiant and spiritual counselor.
