Steven Hauck – Board President
Steven Hauck has been an active member of Unity of New York since its inception in 1999, and currently serves as a Prayer Chaplain and as a member of Voices In Unity choir. Steve is a professional theater practitioner, who co-wrote and directed the play TOMORROW WE LOVE in NYC. His has acted in numerous Broadway, off-Broadway and regional productions. Television roles include Dawes on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and Judge Bad on “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” He has also appeared in the Spike Lee Joints “Oldboy,” “Da Sweet Blood of Jesus,” and “She’s Gotta Have It.” Steve is honored to lead Unity of New York’s Board of Trustees as President, and to serve the community that sustains and inspires him on a daily basis.
Sandra Winter – Secretary
Rev. Sandra Winter has been an Interfaith minister for more than 20 years. She has ministered at spiritual communities on Long Island and Manhattan as a pulpit minister and used her training as a death doula and sound healer to assist those making their transition, as well as their families. She was given a grant to create “The Soul Song Project,” for which she created original songs for nine residents at the Isabella Nursing Home and performed them for the community. She has also coordinated volunteer efforts and handled communications for Quaker Meeting and the Big Heart Circle, a Native American community. She currently is a co-facilitator of a weekly prayer call with Encouraging Word Ministries. She is the author of the book “Pivotal Moments” and continues to write and develop her songwriting projects. As a longtime student and practitioner of New Thought principals, she is honored to have the opportunity to serve on the board at Unity of New York.
Doug Cordero – Treasurer
Doug is honored to serve this community as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, a role he has held since 2023. Doug joined Unity of NY in 2008 after attending an Easter service that filled him with joy, uplifting music, and a spiritual connection he had missed for years. In 2019, Doug was invited to join the Board as a Member-at-Large and he continued to serve on the Finance Committee in ’21 and ’22. In his professional life, Doug works as a vice-president of solutions, founding sales engineer, and as an advisor to high-tech software startups. He deeply enjoys learning new technology, navigating sales engagements, and solving the challenges of going to market with innovative solutions involving data intelligence, security and resilience. Doug lives in the Sleepy Hollow District in Plainfield, NJ with his beloved wife Kerry and teenage son Miguel.
