“It Came to Pass: Navigating Change”

“…fragility and impermanence are in the nature of life.  It’s always coming together and falling apart—not just the physical properties of life, and not just at the time of death.

And it is possible to hold it all in love and compassion.”

— from The Five Invitations:  Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Life

by Frank Ostaseski

The phrase “it came to pass” appears more than 450 times in the Bible.  So why do we humans dislike and avoid change?

When changes happen, whether expected or not, and whether our conscious choice or not, we can experience fear, anger, grief and feelings of loss.  Do we allow ourselves to “feel what we feel,” or cover them with “toxic positivity” and “spiritual bypass”?

Join Rev. Dr. Jerry Troyer for a mind and heart opening workshop on the inevitable experience of change, recognizing that we are always “chopping wood, carrying water.”
