Talk Title: “Stop Whining and Just Let Your Light Shine!”

For years, Karen Drucker made her living as a “singer for hire”, performing at special events from weddings and corporate parties to singing telegrams.  It wasn’t until she began singing at a New Thought Church and listening to the positive life-affirming messages, that everything started to make sense to her. Eventually, Karen became a music director and started writing songs and chants to go along with the minister’s messages. She never would have imagined her first CD of chants would end up being heard all around the world and be used by so many people on a daily basis.  Now after 15 CD’s, and a book;“Let Go of the Shore”, Karen travels around the country performing and speaking at conferences, retreats, churches, concerts, workshops, and spiritual retreats. She has been blessed to work with such inspirational authors as Joan Borysekno, Alan Cohen, Mary Manin Morrissey,  Oriah Mountain Dreamer, and Debbie Ford.  She has also been honored to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the United Centers for Spiritual Living and a “Grace Note Award” from the Unity Church organization.  We are very excited to have Karen as our guest speaker and vocalist!  Karen will also hold a workshop on Sunday afternoon, August 21st from 2-4pm at St Michael’s.  The topic of her workshop is “I Give Myself Permission To…”. http://www.unityofnewyork.org/event/i-give-myself-permission-to-workshop-with-karen-drucker/
