IMG_7874 (1)Rev Diane Scribner Clevenger earned a degree in English with honors from George Mason University in Virginia, she completed her undergraduate degree there after three years, in The Writer’s Workshop at the University of Iowa, then pursued further studies there. She was ordained a Unity Minister in 1997, and since that time has occupied a number of significant positions within our Unity movement. For over twelve years she was Senior Minister at Unity of Roanoke Valley, Virginia, and during part of that time was a Volunteer Chaplain at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke. During her time in ministry, Diane has been much in demand as a speaker and teacher, and has been a Keynote Speaker for numerous organizations, including Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, the YWCA, and various Unity celebrity events. In 2009, she received the Woman of Achievement Award in Religion from the YWCA. Diane’s pursuit of spiritual insight and renewal has led her to various parts of the world. She has made the famous pilgrimage across Spain on “El Camino de Santiago”, a solo walk of nearly 500 miles. She has done missionary work of various sorts in Costa Rica, Honduras, Peru, Nepal, Mexico and Brazil. Diane’s interest in the welfare of children has led to her appointment to the Board of AHALA International, a children’s rights organization based in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is currently a part of the Unity Convention Team, a group which facilitates the teaching of Unity principles in a variety of venues.
Rev Diane also enjoys writing, and her articles have appeared in a number of publications, including Unity Magazine. She was a contributing author to the book “New Thought”, edited by Mary Manin Morrissey. She looks forward to producing more writings on spiritually inspiring subjects.
In a personal word, Diane believes she can “shine her Christ Light by simply serving God, every breath of the Way…”
